SUMMIT 2019

The environmental summit will start a conversation about Nevada’s way of life and pinpoint preservation issues facing Nevadans in the 21st century. With key findings from a summer road trip to rural Nevada locations, the summit will focus on impacts of extreme weather, community concerns, discovering solutions, convening respectful conversations, and promoting in-demand jobs in the 'green' and environmental sectors. The summit will feature a keynote addresses from two Nevada luminaries and prominent women who have journeyed more than once into the arena – gracefully impacting positive change.

Closing Keynote

Solar energy trailblazer as profiled in “The Energy Within Us: an illuminating perspective from five women.”

Rose McKinney-James is the former President and CEO for the Corporation for Solar Technology and Renewable Resources, (CSTRR) and a former Commissioner with the Nevada Public Service Commission, she also served as Nevada’s first Director of the Department of Business and Industry. “We have blazed new trails in the energy industry” says McKinney-James.
